Why coach students that are already high potential achievers?
James Allen
British Philisophica Author
"To desire is to obtain; to aspire is to achieve"
Students with a demonstrative love of learning are usually capable of high performance. However, these students may require programs and experiences different from or in addition to those provided by the regular school program.
MISCONCEPTION:
High-potential students can make it on their own. They can succeed without help.
FACT:
Students with superior intellectual development do not automatically succeed if proper instruction and counseling do not occur. Many high school dropouts had previously been identified as gifted and talented.
These students are at risk for underachievement during their educational years and on their jobs during their adult years.
Students with superior intellectual development will not always succeed without help.
